The Box

Once upon a time, in the land of America there lived a boy named Precious Jim.
Precious Jim lovingly gathered random items and packed them carefully in the box.
he then sent the box to his sister, Joanna, in a faraway place called Africa.

Joanna and her friends waited and waited.
and waited some more - for the box to arrive.
it never did.

Joanna was so sure the box would show up...some day
that she prayed and prayed
and prayed some more

then after Joanna had returned to America
and then back to Africa after many months
she got a message from Precious Jim
the box came!

Not to Africa
back to America

a little lighter than when it left America
as a few items were missing

where was the box those many months?
we may never know...

the moral of the story?
God answers prayer!
not always the way we expect
and not always when we expect
but He always hears

and He always answers
