We enjoyed quite a journey discovering what God's word had to say about Divine Destiny!

| Susan welcoming Rachel |
 |
| Waiting to begin... |
After initial greetings, Rachel led us in a time of worship...
 |
| Rachel leading worship |
 |
| Susan praying for our study |
...then Susan shared a word of encouragement from Scripture...
 |
| Leona reading 1 Peter 5:8 |
Susan reminded us that Satan never sleeps so we must be prepared by putting on the whole armor of God each day...
 |
| Josephine |
She also reminded us of the story of Nehemiah which we had studied during the Divine Destiny teaching...sharing about how he was a righteous man; honest, faithful, and full of peace.
She encouraged us to always be studying the word of God.
Normally our final meeting is reserved for Q&A, but we had a short teaching on this final week...
 |
| Christine and Rose |
Rose walked us through a lesson on Destiny and Warfare...
First we learned that prayer is a transfer of responsibility to God. That was a profound realization for me! I had never thought of it that way...
As we studied from the book of Nehemiah we discovered that, rather than panic, Nehemiah 'transfers responsibility of this problem to God through prayer' Neh 4:4-9. Wow!
 |
| Celestine - one of our newer members |
Rose helped us see that we each must learn to leave the need or problem in the hands of God.
 |
| Studious Christine |
We then learned that we must keep our focus on the will of God. Nehemiah was very clear that the rebuilding of the wall was a 'divine work, a good work, and a great work. (Neh 2:12, 18, 6:3)
We must keep our focus on who God is, on who we are, and on what God desires.
 |
| Sweet Leona (Maulyne behind her!) |
We then learned that we must always give attention to areas of personal weakness...
 |
| This is serious stuff! |
We must give attention to areas in our lives where the enemy seems to defeat us...
 |
| Josephine |
Areas of weakness include; bad habits, relational issues, emotional issues...
Our areas of weakness must be exposed, corrected, and strengthened. But we can't do it alone...
 |
| Leona tickled by the thought that we want to judge who God wants to save |
We discovered that God's answer includes staying relationally connected.

 |
| Christine reading Neh 4:13-14 |
Independence and isolation are the very things the enemy loves.
 |
| Celestine |
Just as a wolf works to isolate a sheep from the flock, Satan uses isolation to take advantage of believers.
 |
| Group shot |
Isolation results in a lack of accountability and makes us easy targets for the enemy to destroy our God ordained destiny.
 |
| Celestine and Elida (who arrived late) |
Nehemiah urges his people to stay close to one another when they were being attacked.
 |
| Christine reading Deut 35:17-18 |
He stressed that the work was a group task and the battle was a corporate battle. They would serve together, watch together and fight together against a common enemy.
 |
| Josephine reading Hebrews 13:17 |
We would do well to learn from Nehemiah and the lessons he brings us to stay connected so we can be accountable for how we live and work for Christ...
 |
| Leona reading Hebrews 10:24-25 |
We must remember that we are in the race together...we are joined together by the Spirit of God.
We have the privilege of being vessels through which God accomplishes His will on earth.
When we step into God's will, there will be resistance. We have an enemy who wants to stop us at every turn. As we apply the lessons learned from Nehemiah we will find ourselves accomplishing the work God gives us to do.
Time for celebrating our journey!
We ordered tea and chapati from a small place across the road...
Salome joined us in time for tea...
We then had a time of discussion, answering the 'homework' questions...
Salome prayed over our refreshments...
Josephine helping Salome wash her hands...
...and also Elida...something sure made them laugh...
Down to the business of tea time!
We enjoyed a time of sweet fellowship as we reflected back on our three months of exploring about Divine Destiny...
I love this shot of Rose and Christine taking photos!
Then it was time for certificates!

| Leona - perfect attendance! |
 |
| She is quite animated! |
I had brought photos from the previous 'end of study' giving out of certificates...
It was a fun time of laughter and celebration.
Then it was 'clean-up' time! Josephine jumped right in, followed by Rose and Susan.
We then spent time in praise and worship...thanking God for bringing us this far!
Susan led us in a time of prayer...
Then photo ops!
Group photos!

Stacking chairs...we always want to leave the sanctuary better than we found it!

These celebrations are always bitter sweet; Sweet fellowship, but a certain sadness to be apart for a whole month!
