"Whom shall I send, and who will go for Us?" Then I said, "Here am I! Send me."

Our first week of the new series on "Message of the Bible"

We resumed our meetings on the 8th of September.  My only disappointment is that we were so few!
Susan, Celestine, Christine
Rose
Rose began by looking back to review the high points of the Divine Destiny teaching, inviting the ladies to share what God has shown them about His purpose for their lives...
We had hoped for more ladies to attend to be able to hear about what God is doing, but Celestine and Christine had little to say!
We extended an invitation to train members who feel led to step into leadership of the group during this next season...we shall see over the next few weeks if any are feeling called.
Rose then launched into an introduction of our next study...it will be a broad overview of the Bible.
I am excited about the foundational aspects of this teaching, especially the emphasis on seeing Jesus in every part of the Old Testament!
Since Rose will be on a mission trip next week (when the teaching actually begins) she spent a bit more time looking at the first lesson than we had planned.
Also we handed out the lesson (and both ladies took extra copies for members who were absent this week) for them to read and come next week prepared to discuss what they learned.
The first lesson is entitled "The Authority of the Bible" which establishes all the reasons we can be confident that the Bible is authoritative.
The first lesson effectively teaches how the early church leaders "tested" whether a letter or book of the Bible was actually inspired by God...
Christine reading Deut 8:3
Then we had a momentary visitor!  She kept grabbing at the camera every time I tried to snap her photo!
We then spent a few minutes hearing praise reports and prayer requests...
Christine led us in a time of praise and worship...
...Rose closed our meeting by praying over all the needs which were shared.
Salome came just in time to hear the prayer and praises and pray with us.
Then we conducted our debrief at Java House!
It will be interesting to see how this next season will look, with Rose being called to short term missions!  Susan is a faithful servant of our Lord as she is stepping into a greater teaching role with the group...She inspires me!
