The Visit

My first grandchild...or as a new friend says "furkid"...this is Chachi and he lives with my daughter Amanda and her hubby Joel. I spent a wonderful weekend with them at their apartment in Santa Monica in mid May.
I call this photo "puppy talk"...she had just hung up from chatting with Dr. Bonney (her friends call her Shalein) to set up our visit for picking out Chachi's brother...a Great Dane puppy.

After a fun little shopping spree with her friend Amy, we headed home to work on our project of the day...a wall hanging to cover an unsightly spice rack on the kitchen wall - all in preparation for the graduation party coming up in less than a week.

First job - build the frame...

...we three made a great team! yes, I worked too...just not obvious yet cuz I was also behind the camera!

Can you see the book resting on the corner of the frame? That was our scientific method to ensure a square corner...pretty clever huh?

...the picture of concentration...

...two law students collaberating...

...stretch and staple and stretch and staple and stretch and staple...

Voila! We did it...

...and I was part of the process too...

...this photo shows the objectionable spice rack that started this whole thing!

...hmmmm...is it level?

...not sure...I need a closer look...

...and the finished product! we did good, don't you think? But, the best part was that we spent the day full of laughter, fun and awesome fellowship...

I love my kid...(sigh...)

Thank you for so graciously leaving out the end of that story... :)

So fun hanging out with you!
